Special Guest Speaker Christine Watkins Former Ballerina/Anti-Christian Atheist Amazing Story of Conversion-Healing
Christine Watkins, formerly an anti-Christian atheist, converted to Catholicism after receiving a miaculous healing from Jesus through Mary, which saved her from death.
|

Mrs. Christine Watkins was brought up in a non-religious home, found Christians
annoying and misguided by a fairy tale. While growing up, she suffered from mild
depression and low self-esteem until she discovered ballet. Her God became the world
of dance as she performed with the prestigious San Francisco Ballet Company. When
injuries beset her, she looked to the New Age movement for answers and followed
the advice of gurus and psychics. More unhappiness led her into fleeting empty
relationships and extreme health problems. Then, by the Grace of God, she
converted to Catholicism after receiving a miraculous healing from Jesus through Mary,
which saved her from death.
Christine then began a life of service to the Church and now has over ten years
experience as a spiritual director, counselor, licensed Social Worker, retreat leader,
inspirational speaker, and mission preacher. In addition, she currently works as a post-
abortion counseling and education director. She has been featured on the FOCUS
Television Network and was recently interviewed for ABC Nightline’s special on the
Virgin Mary.
Her new book, Full of Grace: Miraculous Stories of Healing and Conversion through
Mary’s Intercession, is now available from Ave Maria Press. This book conveys her own
account of healing which she will share at our meal along with the amazing stories of
others.
Christine holds a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from the Jesuit School of
Theology at the Graduate Theological Union and a Master’s degree in Social Welfare
from U.C. Berkeley’s School of Social Welfare. She lives in Alameda, California with her
husband and two sons.
Once lost, Christine Watkins was the “prodigal daughter” found and embraced by
the great mercy of God and tender love of our Blessed Mother. Come and hear her
story of God’s love for us all for there is truly joy in heaven when one lost soul is saved!
